ProAm this Saturday 7-19-14 @ Oil Capital

ProAm match this Saturday 6-21-14 at Oil Capital Rod & Gun Club.
Signup starts at 9:30am, and shooting at 10:00am.

$15 to shoot, $10 for OC members, and as always, free of charge to LEOs and active military. (Maybe $5 for a second gun, but depending on number of shooters.)

Divisions: Center fire pistol, revolver, rimfire pistol, and rimfire rifle, with open and iron sights division on each.

All dropping steel targets

(We will have a secondary match with 2 tactical stages for sequencing purposes as well. These will serve as our tie breaker.)

Round count is 170 minimum, assuming no misses, and depending how far you go on the one on one stage.

Lots of movement and reloads, but still 22 friendly.

If you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match, but no pressure if you want to leave or can't help.

As always, we have plaques for 1st place winners (working on a ProAm exclusive new design for these.)

I am working on stage design/selection for Saturday.
I have not received any suggestions, so don't complain then if there is too much running.
Any suggestions? Send them my way.

This is what I was thinking on stages.
Since the last few times we have not been able to shoot the one on one stage after the match, we'll have it as part of the standard stags.
We will all shoot it first. As we people get eliminated, squads can be formed, which can start shooting the rest of the stages.
We have not shot Walk the Steel in a while, which unless anybody has any other suggestions, will be one of the Tie Breaker stages.
Again, still open to suggestions.

Troy is working on getting us another set of targets.
If he can get them done by Saturday, we will replace the secondary match with it, and use the one on one as the tie breaker.
Will keep you posted.
I'm sure looking forward to shooting again the one on one drag race stage, or as Feegee calls it...(with a deep voice)... MAN ON MAN.

Good news. Troy will have us an extra set of target.
This means we will have 5 ProAm stages, and 1 timed Tie Breaker.
I have added the stage and modified the COF a bit.
This puts the minimum round count at 156, depending on how far you go on the one on one.
Anybody has any comments on the par times? (I'm thinking some of them are too high.)

Have you looked at the weather forecast for tomorrow?
With a high of only 87, we will start shooting in the low 70's and probably finish just as it breaks into the 80's.

Gonna try something different with the one on one.
Of course it will have a score sheet of its own.
But we will also count 9 points towards the overall score for each level a,shooter moves to.
