ProAm match this Saturday 9-20-14 at Oil Capital Rod & Gun Club.
Signup starts at 9:30am, and shooting at 10:00am.

$15 to shoot, $10 for OC members, and as always, free of charge to LEOs and active military. (Maybe $5 for a second gun, but depending on number of shooters.)

Divisions: Center fire pistol, center fire pistol open, revolver, rimfire pistol iron sights, rimfire pistol optics, rimfire rifle iron sights, rimfire rifle optics, and shotgun.

All dropping steel targets. (We will have a secondary match with 2 tactical stages for sequencing purposes as well. These will serve as our tie breaker.

Got a stage suggestion? Send it this way. Round count will be around 200.

Lots of movement and reloads, but still 22 friendly.

If you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match, but no pressure if you want to leave or can't help.

As always, we have plaques for 1st place winners (still working on a ProAm exclusive new design for these.)

Directions to OCR&GC: http://www.ocrgc.com/?q=node/44

Hope to see you at the range.

I would love to make that match, it sounds like a blast. It's too late for me to get a mileage pass in, and my club's Steel Challenge is that day anyway, but I'd love to make it to future matches. Do you always run these the third Saturday, or is there a place to go to see upcoming matches? Edit-Nevermind, I found the calendar.

John won last month SG with 136 plates. Very few misses and quite a few doubles. I bet he used 125 or so shells...

The weather looks iffy for Saturday, with 80% chance of morning rain.

As you know, we have awesome cover at Oil a Capital, and if you are patient, we can wait for isolated storms to pass through, as we have done before (or shoot in them, as we have done before too - right Tony?)

So I am not too concerned about shooting in the rain as I am about setting up in the rain. Please keep an eye out for my postings in case we need to cancel (hopefully not.)

Yep, set up & tear down are the issue. Shooting in the rain is no biggie, as long as there's no lightning.

I don't even mind that, as long as there is a guy with a shotgun nearby. Heck, I thought that was why we started letting them shoot with us to begin with ;-)

We are going to try something a bit different.
The A-Wall stage will have 6 target at 40yds.
These are to be done with a second gun (a type different that the one being used for the stage.)
These will be off the clock on a 10rd mag .
These will be extra points and off the clock, and can be shot before or after the stage.
Engaging these is optional.
Will post modified COF tomorrow.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Renato pulled off another great match lots of fun. Those 6 40yard plates were a fun challenge especially with a pistol
