Precision One Ammunition Question

Seems the forum coupon has expired?

I went to use it today and it is only good for purchases over $300.00 (per the P1 website). Don't know if this addresses your coupon question or not but I thought I would throw it out there.

1000 rounds of .223 was ~$360 at gun shows before the panic, so the coupon should work with that?

Yes - used it several times in the past with > $300. Received the expired message the last time I tried. Still bought some though :)

Hmmm...I just went online and purchased over $300.00 in ammo and when I put in the above-referenced coupon code (in the P1 banner on this site) it said that the coupon was expired?

Bummer. Maybe I am missing something? Hell, I ordered away nonetheless although the 10% off over $300.00 is what got the wife to say go for it! Please don't tell her  . It will be our secret.

I am really looking forward to my two recent orders. Based on everyones recommendations I went ahead and ordered 250 rounds of ammo for the Glocks and 550 rounds for the AR. Can't wait to test it out...

Cheers to all and thanks again for the replies to my post. There is something that just feels right about buying ammo from someone local here in SC.

Anyone know if Jeff is still swamped with orders? I know this is an old thread but I'd like to buy local if possible.

Any news?

Jeff will be at the Ladfson show this weekend...He said "be early...I will run out pretty fast"

He is still so busy he still has his web site down...

Try to be in line at the door of the gun show by about 8:00....Then, go for his display first...

I have not been to a gun show in a long time but these days all I can picture is that "black Friday" type crowd trampling one another when the doors open. Heavy sigh...I sure *hope* this situation turns around. Yet another reason to contact your local, state, and federal reps via mail, phone, peaceful protests that are planned, etc. Hell, even Colorado seems to be going down the path of California and NY.

Good luck with your ammo search. You can look up Jeff's posts...don't remember which one it was but he very recently gave us a summary concerning the current status of his ammo and supplies.

Cheers...

I know what you mean. With most people selling at $1.00 per round, kinda makes it hard to purchase. Wonder what Jeff's prices are these days??

The 250 round box of re-manufactured 9mm is 69.95 or 13.99/box of 50. I picked it up from him Wed. :D Said he is not able to get brass for .223 and some powders are in short supply. Usually sold out in first 3 hrs except for 44 mag, 10mm, 41cal defensive rounds. :( He said he does have more ammo for the Ladson show than for the Myrtle Beach Show.

Anyone know P-1's price on reman. 45acp and 380acp. I know the prices may fluctuate I want to do a cost analisis of buying versus reloading.

For what it's worth:

I finally went to the range today to shoot some of the ammo I got from Jeff at P-1. I shot 50 rounds of 230 gr FMJ and 50 rounds of 230 gr XTP Hollow Points through my Glock 30 (.45). Then 50 rounds of 124 gr FMJ and 50 rounds of 124 gr XTP Hollow Points through my Glock 26 (9mm).

Everything shot well with zero issues. Made some nice ragged holes at 7, 9 and 12 yards. Only one flyer into the 9 ring with the 9mm but that was my fault as I caught myself calculating how much money I was putting down range by the round!

I sure wish all this BS would go away within the industry. I really love (and miss) shooting.

nothing against jeff, his prices sound good but when you reload your own you wont be thinking about the cost.

think big. 8 lbs powder, primers by the sleeve, 5000/sleeve. im even thinking about casting my own 45s. i use 9mm in my full auto so jacketed are better so i wont be casting them.

I hear ya Tigerstripe. That is definitely my goal. I have talked a little about it with 11B and followed some of the posts here as well. It certainly makes sense. I just need to dive on in I guess.

I recently put 50 rounds of Precision One through my HK USP 9mm. About every 4th or 5th round failed to cycle properly. I will never buy it again.

I haven't tired it in a different pistol or tried this brand in any other calibers.

Spg1. Contact me and I will do what I can to make it right. I have a lot of questions though. Have not heard of any cycling problems and want to know more info.

Of course I noticed this is your first post on this forum. Looks like you joined to post this feedback. Give us a call at your earliest convenience. Thx

Never even heard a peep about any problems with Precision One products before, very strange indeed. :?

I have to admit, seems even stranger for someone to join our Forum and make a complaint about a sponsor right off the bat too. :|

I am sorry to hear about the problems that the poster is having with Jeff's ammo...But...

It seems to me that if you are a MAN, you would contact Jeff and P1 about the problem. Putting a post like that on the web without giving the man a chance to make things right is pretty stupid.

You don't sell ammo do you???

I have shot hundreds of rounds of P1 ammo thru a bunch of different calibers and a bunch of different gun, I have never had the first problem, but, if I did I would have talked to P1 about that problem...not blindsided him on a Forum.

I have used this P1 Ammo:

9mm in 4 different guns
380 in 2 different guns
45's in about 10 different guns
223 in maybe 4 different guns
44 magnum
44 special

I agree with fordnut on this one. I have used P1 ammo in several calibers, in rifles, pistols, and a revolver - never had any issues. I will continue to buy it as long as it performs as it has in the past.

I have shot a ton (almost literally!!) of Jeff's ammo and have had zero issues. To all on this forum - buy P-1 ammo with the utmost confidence, you won?t be disappointed.
