The gun shots are not loud on the recording, I expected they would be, so did he shoot strong hand only while holding the phone to his face or even away from his body with weakhand?
Yeah, you could hear how shaken up he was after it happened. "He kicked my Mother f***ing door in heeeees gooooona diiiiiiaaaeeee" sounds like he was on the verge of tears.Steve McGinley said:Did anyone else hear at the end that he said that he and his wife had put down their guns? So I guess it's ...Honey if I go down you continue the fire fight......
That had to be really scarry and nerve racking for them, I don't know once I made the call to 911 if I could hang on to the phone and worry about talking to them, my focus would be the intruders.
If I only had a .22 I wouldn't be waiting for them to come in. I'd be screaming GTFO! So I didn't have to hope like hell my .22 would do the trick.dennishoddy said:Police reported today, the intruder was shot with a .22 rimfire pistol.
He is still listed in critical condition.
A double barrel shotgun is like a shoulder fired Abram's tank, don't you know. If it wasn't for our second in command we would never have know that little tidbit.dennishoddy said:I think it shows that anything is better than nothing. We really don't know if he or his wife yelled at the intruder to GTFO. The only thing we know for sure is what was recorded after the 911 call was made.
For me, I'd be afraid the intruder might shoot through the door. I don't think I'd say a thing that would give away my position. Drywall, and plastic siding doesn't stop much
Shame he didn't have a double barrel shotgun to fire off two rounds in the back yard to scare them off.
