Pawnee Winter Run 'n Gun - Jan. 18, 2014 - Pawnee, OK

One broken extractor....I wonder what other kind of malfunctions/failures folks experienced.

I had a stove pipe on my brand new Glock 19 at Stage 5, otherwise everything worked fine.

Other than being a little concerned about the cause of the stovepipe in a brand new pistol, I'm actually kind of glad it happened in the middle of a stage...it was great training!

JR glad you found the sight be sure to go to forums and find the Oklahoma match's link
when I saw you jogging north of the entrance I was hoping you were excited & testing your gear, that must have been. a solid 2 hr detour you went on. Next time they say left, left , left I am positive you will go right when leaving the drive then left left or per instructions. Last run & gun I could not differentiate pink & orange I learned two things; loose the colored sunglasses & watch what direction the lead runners go. I think I lost 7 min in the first ten minutes of the run, it wasn't until stage three that I realized I couldn't see pink. Then ran at least a extra mile because I missed a turn.
I had my listening ears on this time.

Maybe dirt from going under bob wire one of my Glock mags went pepper shaker on me on stage 5 I grabbed the partial mag from stage two and finished with slide lock. I kept thinking if I run out reholster yell moving back to RO and haul but to hill top to retrieve extra mag. I forgot about extra mag zipped up in back back. I kept minimal ammo on belt I might rethink that.
My mags needed new springs I have been using same 4 mags since 2012 I replaced springs Sunday morning they were 1/2 to 3/4 inch shorter than the new springs

I didn't have any malfunctions. Got the Mosin target on the first shot. Since Lonnie said the sights were dead on, I just held to the right edge because the wind at that point must have been 20mph sustained. That was a good shooting position, too, because the top of the hill offered up as a fine rifle rest. But I have to say that 200 yards looked pretty short, or that gong was very big.

I'm not going to bring my 2011 next time. I was constantly paranoid about scraping it along the ground. I don't baby it too much, but I'm gonna get a Glock to wear when crawling around under barbed wire and going prone.

Also, I may bring my carbine next time. My 20" barrel was dragging through a lot of tree branches in the area of stages 1-3.
