One more 3G question, ammo?

Good on pistol, but what about .223 and shotshells? I have some of the green tipped stuff, M183 I think. I don't think it will work since it isn't a conventional FMJ. Shotshells, slugs, 00 buckshot? Or is it determined locally?

Local rules with prevail. Every club has different ammo restrictions.

Yeah, look up the local rules and see if you can contact the MD of your local matches to ask about the ammo rules and restrictions. Most of the smaller local matches do not require slugs or buckshot and the rifle ammo can't be steel core on steel targets. Normally 71/2 or 8 birdshot is fine and have a decent selection of chokes.
