got to love the comment section....

A 9mm is not worth using. He hit both killers and they did not stay down. You have to use a heavy caliber bullet to do real damage so they do not get up. What did George Zimmerman use?

Did anyone identify his gun? I though it was a lcp or bodyguard but wasn't sure... seems to of shot quite a few rounds... I could easily be wrong though.

IMHO, I think Mr. Williams maybe needed a little more gun. But, he certainly got the hits he needed get!

Need more gun or not.... The one he had with him was WAAAAAYYYY better/more useful than the one(s) he left at home.

According to the description below the video, he used a, ".380-caliber semi-automatic handgun." Which a quick gander on the interwebs show a result of about 200 ft-lbf, and for 9mm Luger it starts around 518 ft-lbf. It would also depend on what type of bullet he was using, as an FMJ wouldn't do a whole lot of damage compared to a jacketed hollow point. As for the 9mm, it will do just fine with a defense round as long as the target is being shot in the vitals. It all has to do with the shooter and type of bullet.
