1300's & 7 1/2 shot is what the old Nordic shotgun match used.

Yes, like a gray AA.
Just bring normal birdshot & some slugs for the match. Don't worry about any gimmick loads or buckshot.

You gotta be specific. I've got 1500 fps 7 1/2 shot, 1330 6's. I have found an angle for everything.

I thought I had been......Normal birdshot. Are you shooting the rest of the match with that ammo?

****, I guess I'll take the time to look at all the manufacturers & see what velocity their ammo run so I can get the specific maximum.

It might be a while before I get that done!!!!

It won't be for the stage in question.
It'd fine on other stages if you like shooting high recoil money at poppers & clays & such.

The stage we're talking about here will be limited to 7 1/2 max shot size & around 1300fps max velocity. I'll just have to look & make sure that velocity isn't excluding any manufacturer's normal target loads.

Just go with 1300 fps 7 1/2. That's as hot as normal gets

If you got clays In the same stage as a spinner you can run cylinder for the clays a d a turkey load on the spinner and have the best of both worlds. If you run a full choke you can use 1300's on the spinner and spreaders on the clays. I'm not sure how the spreaders work through a full choke though.

But I was going to look at estate & fiocci & a couple others on the shelf at Walmart & Academy just to be sure they're not running something like 1305 or something weird like that.

Maybe you should just select Jesse's ammo for him. 980fps should be about right.

Wallyworld has everything from Estate 1160 fps, to Rem super target at 1350. Just got back.
All 8 shot. Not a single box of 7 1/2. No slugs.
Gotta love a superstore with a shooting section that would fit in a tiny closet. It's sad.
That's why I reload shot shells.
