Most clubs have different rules on heavy metal. I just went to the OKC gun club website and couldn't find any rules posted for their 3-gun match. So I guess anything goes.

I found the rules. It says rifles have to comply with tac irons, which allows the use of non magnified optics. It also says no optical sights for heavy metal. I was just trying to get clarification. The rules are stickied under local matches/Oklahoma forum.

put a non magnified dot on a 308 and you can shoot heavy

On the topic of heavy metal division, what is the maximum mag tube length for the shotgun? +4?

We're trying to get my oldest son set up to shoot and he already has an 870 that he hunts with.
