OKC Gun Club Multi-Gun

My wife and parents are going to come out to watch. What time do you think JP will be on stage?
I say we save him for the grand finale. That way the people that need to be home before dark30 can go ahead & leave before he finishes.

Luckily the stage is timed, so I guess I will have to stop shooting at some point - or until I run out of ammo

Would suck if I had the same malfunctions and jams as Jesse had in his three gun rocking horse steel deal video - wait, what am I saying, I'm gonna be running an AK - those issues don't exist

I am going to be there but have never done the 3 gun and the only shotgun i have is a browning pump with no mag extension. I think i'm counting on wormy for some ar mags but who knows with that guy lol. Im gonna need some guidance but dont wanna be a burden if they are wanting over 50 in attendance.

Come on out AJ. you can always Use my shotgun. So when were you going to tell me you needed to use my mags? Lol

This match is very FNG friendly. Are you bringing your other two roommates?

Come on out. I'll have 3 shotgun handy, extra AR mags, and about 15 shotshell caddies. See you Sunday. PM me if you need anymore gear.

Setup should take all of about 30 minutes. We are shooting two speed shoots so they will be a few poppers and target stands on those two. The long range gets setup Sunday morning. So it is the maze stage which is going to be a long mama. We are going to use at least 12 walls and a crapload of targets.
Mike, I know it's a little late for requests but I'd Like to see some gun transitioning. Like maybe a couple strong hand pistol shots in the middle of a shotgun array. Maybe some paper with no shoots, something you would absolutely have to transition to your pistol to do it, then back to shotgun to finish the array. Is this possible?

DUDE! :a102: You really want to test all us virgins dont your? There is going to be enough transitioning for me the way it is.

Honestly, it's not as bad as it seems. This will just make you have to get out of your rhythm is all. There will be new people at every match, no time like the present :D .

So setup will be on saturday at 2:00pm? I probably won't be shooting this weekend. But I don't mind helping with setup and possibly stopping by and watching the action on sunday.

What bays will you guys be using? I've only done USPSA at OKCGC at the cowboy action bays.

the same bays as USPSA

As far as transitioning back to your first firearm. This is a very touchy subject with most range masters and clubs and the reason is that, in your example, are grounding a loaded gun that the RO has no way of ensuring it is safe, transitioning and back. In your example you say shotgun, pistol then back to shotgun. This is not a scenario I have ever seen at a match and I don't think it does anyone any benefit except the risk of a safety oops. I think we will go sequential as always and not take the chance. Catch up with me Saturday and I will tell you really why we don't do that.. :)

Yes, 9:00a start time. We will need the extra hour for JP and his trusty AK!

Too warm for my ushanka so I'll have to come with my NVA gear.

No need to wait on an AR - once it malfunctions their day is over.
