OKC Gun Club Multi-Gun

This is awesome, get out your checkbooks boys - AK's for everyone!

80yd-100yd autopopper = what is an autopopper - a popper that resets itself?

100yd small popper - one of those mini ones?

100 yd plate rack - we gotta be able to build a buffer for those low hits to help increase the life of the base. (8in plates)

100 yd - star - same as the one we shot on the first Saturday or is this modified for rifles?

*Is it ok to hit these with a 7.62x39? Fear of damaging these?

*Are these standing shots, seated, kneeling or prone shots? with support or without support?

No beer/alcoholic beverages at shooting events!

You can shoot it with your AK rounds just make sure they don't stick to a magnet. You may not get to shoot at them at all.

I'll check them - they should be copper jacketed FMJ lead core with Steel cases - I would hope!

I have a few questions...

Is this a 3 gun competition? I didn't plan on competing in three gun - 1.I sold my handgun and am waiting for my replacement. 2.I don't have much experience shooting shotguns, especially at clays - and I don't even own a shotgun. I understand the concept of loading and aiming, but not at moving targets and not with chokes.

What day and time is this? Is this still the 17th? I should be fine to make it, but really thought this was similar to the rifle match at USSA.

Either way, I'd love to shoot Steel at any distance. You guys let me know!

Wow. That almost sounds like Obama talking about all the elephant dung he promised while he was running for office but couldnt deliver once he got elected. :)

May be the scotch talking. Boomer shooter needs to install something that tests your BAC before you post! :)

Autopoppers are a 1/3 size popper that has a 4" circle strike zone. The platerack has a shield but it is ar400 and got the crap shot out of it by a 308 at the last match. Still functional, but dented to high hell.
I forgot what else I was going to post so screw it.

G'night.

I like this, gotta keep that aiming fluid full!

I plan on running two mags (30 each) and I have two 5 rounders if I need to. I can pick up some more mags later - either way, this is gonna be fun!

Cool I guess - nervous about using a shotty with a long tube and switching safely between three weapons. - what should I bring?

I've arranged to make this match as well. Hopefully I'll have my shotty from AI by then.

You can shoot the long tube or I can bring the short tube. The long tube is easier for newbies because you don't to reload. If you want reload i can bring the short tube.

You will need some 12 gauge #7 1/2 shot or #8. The cheap stuff from wal mart will work. You can shoot my Glock 34. So bring some 9mm unless you would rather shoot the Glock 35 then you would need some .40 S&W.

Tested my ammo but it was magnetic - even the bullet - what ammo can I buy for next weekend? Guess I'll need a magnet in my pocket when I shop :(. However I liked my groupings

.223 Remington. Lol.

You will only need the non magnetic stuff for the long range stage where we shoot steal. Wolf and similar should be ok even though the magnet sticks to the bullet. If thats all you can find I would recommend bringing the box they came in A's proof that they are the aren't steel core spam can ammo.
