April 17th will be the next adventure. After the excellent turnout last month, I am hoping we get over the 50 shooter mark in April.

We will again be shooting 3-gun. We are going to have a few more 2-gun stages this time but will have at least one that uses all 3. I am going to keep round count close to 50 rifle, 50 pistol, 50 shot an a few specialty shells. I have some other stage drawn up and it will again be a challenge. We will start at 10:00am and it will be $10 for members and $15 for non. I may do the first shotgun flying bird class on the 16th after setup.

I guess because I grew up bird hunting, hitting flying stuff is the easiest part of a 3 gun match for me.

In for the first class

what other classes are you going to teach? Word on the street is that you and I have similar purist ideas, especially about irons sights for Long Distance shooting!

Well if I can convience Jesse to let me shoot one of his shotguns, I will come try 3 gun

my guess is never - better save up 200 bucks and get your Mexican Mossberg Maverick 88
I'm sure Jesse won't have a problem with it, other than there's the chance he may have to miss it due to work (it's a busy time of year for him). If that's the case, I'd be happy to let you shoot mine. Just bring good ammo, and don't shoot yourself. Sorry, couldn't resist :D .

Don't shoot yourself "Again"

I kept my back up benelli just to allow other new shooters to use it. When I was looking for advice and help with 3 gun 2 years ago there weren't no matches locally. I sent bigbrowndig a pm on Enos with some questions. He told me everything I wanted and more. That more was introducing me to kurtM. KurtM then invited me over to his house to help me get my benelli setup. It was awesome that two of the top guys in the sport would take time to help me out. After that I told myself I'm gonna treat people just like they did me. So anytime you need help, to borrow some gear or guns or need a bottled of brew just ask and I'd be happy to return the favor that was given to me.

I really appreciate that. You and Chambers and Wormydog are pretty much the only reason I wanted to start shooting competition. I know I had a bunch of questions, and yall all were very patient answering for me. Then I finally make it to one, and fall in love with it. Wormy is actually letting me ride up to the match on Sunday with him. I look foward to getting as good as yall eventually, and look foward to shooting with yall much more
