I bought a Glock 17 in 9mm. I didn't think I would ever cross that line. I hope I haven't let John Moses Browning down. Here's the reason I did it:
If I'm ever faced with a self defense situation in my home that requires me to discharge a firearm, the gun will certainly be taken into evidence. Would I rather one of my prized 1911's has to go to gun purgatory or a cheap, but functional dog chew toy? I think I would rather let the dog chew toy go on that vacation.
If it were one of my 1911's, at best, it wouldn't be handled like I handle it. I just know it would come back with some sort of damage.
So, I see the Glock as a bit of 1911 insurance. There you go.....that's what they're good for.
Funny....this site doesn't even recognize the name. It keeps changing it to Block.
