I am finally having to replace this 5.11 belt after 2 1/2 years and I am doing so with an original 5-stitch Wilderness Instructor belt.

We will soon find out the difference in the original and a Chinese knock off

I still like this belt but it is worn out

2.5 years isn't too bad a life span for a daily use belt. I'd like to try one of the nylon style belts, let us know how the wilderness compares to the 5.11

I agree. I never had a Looper leather last longer than a year

IT'S IN!

I literally cannot tell the difference in this and the 5.11 (made in China) except for the steel buckle on the Wilderness

Time will tell. Stand by for more.....

It does stand up by itself without support. Which is more than I can say for Tony most of the time

Well, I hate to say but I can't really tell any difference in the USA Wilderness and the China 5.11.

They are almost identical

A year update on the Wilderness Instructor belt. I honestly can't tell any difference in it and the 5.11 that I wore prior to this one (2-1/2 years). The Wilderness might end up lasting longer but only time will tell. If it does, I would say they are both very good belts

Update to the statement below. I slid the buckle around off-center a little bit and the double reinforced portion of the belt is now within the loops of the holster. MUCH more sturdy. Of course depending on where you carry and what holster you use, will result in different outcome

After about a week with the 5.11 I am not sure how much I like it for AIWB. Where the holster lands the belt is not double thickness so it bends quite a bit laterally at that pressure point
