A new member checking in mentioned he had a Norinco. I've never taken any pic's of mine until tonight so it's time for show and tell. You don't see them very often posted on 1911 enthusiast Forums and I know there are lot's in the U.S. I also know that Clinton banned their importation in the early 90's, so since I guess they don't trade hands very often. It's the exact opposite up here. I see more Norinco 1911's at my club than any other make. I have some Colt's and a S&W PC1911 and I have this Norinco. I purchased it used about 3 years ago for very little money with the intention of using the frame as a dedicated platform for my .22 Conversion Unit addiction. The problem was that it shot so nicely that I decided to do some modifications to make it a bit better, to suit my tastes. Wilson Combat and a Canadian company called Dlask Arms supplied most of the aftermarket parts and Rodger Kotanko at Dark Firearms did the work. I think it turned out pretty good. so, here's a couple of pic's:
