We will have a tactical match on Wed Jan 1, 2014 @ Oil Capital.
All steel targets, including dropping
200rds
Lots of movement and reloads, but still 22 friendly
At least 1 Pro-Am stage
Weather looks good, and no better way to start the year.

Open to stage suggestion

Divisions: Center Fire Pistol, Revolver, Rimfire Pistol and Rimfire Rifle; open amd ironsights.

This is the Wednesday after our Dec 29 Steel Challenge match.

Oil Capital Members $10.00, non-members $15.00, and second gun $5.00.
If you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match (please don't puttargets on the ground; we take them apart as we load them on to the trailer- much easier than picking them off the ground.) But no pressure if you want to leave or can't help.

Remember we have plaques for 1st place winners.

Here are some helpful links for information:

Hope to see you at the range.

Yes, if you have eleven or 13 poppers we could set up something cool.

Might just do that. I'll give you a call and get some tips.
Might do drop off targets for it.

you need an even number so the 2 finish targets can overlap & there won't be any question as to who wins

Jeff/Tony, going to keep it 22lr friendly. So I was thinking of using drop off targets (like the ones we used on circle last time.) 5 on each side, and 1 in the middle. We will have to keep an eye on who hits the middle one, but there will only be 1 hit as it will fly off as soon as somebody hits it. I think the shooters would know as well. What do you think?

Still open to stage suggestions.

I'm going to try to make it, Renato!

Cool Micah!
Somebody needs to ask Feegee if we really have to call that stage man on man.
It's your match!! If you're asking, you could call it Troy on Troy!! Lol

even with drop targets I really think you need separate finish plates.
First to hit the ground wins, no questions.

It's really difficult to tell when 2 people are really close & break the shot at almost the same time.
What if for example Micah & I are are down to the wire & I just throw a crazy shot at the finish plate a hair before Micah, my bullet misses but Micah hits. I'm declared the winner because there is no way to know that I missed. My shot broke first so it must have been the one to knock it down see what I mean?

As for Man on Man, We'll only call it that when Feegee's around, how's that? :)

Here is what I was thinking on stages.
I think I agree with Tony, and might have 2 drop stop plates on the one on one stage.
Also, on USPSA, IDPA, and ProAm, we only shoot each stage once.
So let me know what you guys think about shooting each twice, like we have been doing. I'm ok either way.
And again, stage suggestions are very welcome.
(Tony, I hope Feegee shows up.)
See att'd.

The weather is looking great for tomorrow.
It looks like we will be shooting in the mid to high 40s, and very little wind.

What time will this be over?? The only way I can go is if I am home in time to take the wife to the Zoo. Since she had surgery she is getting stir crazy sitting around the house and made me promise I would take her.

John Hensy won't show up! He got a bag full of excuses for Christmas!

We should be done by 2.

At the request from some of you, we will shoot each string only once.
Rimfires can reshoot if a jam occurs.
Centerfires reshoots will only happen in the event of a squib.
I am also adding a steel version of El Presidente USPSA stage.
this bring our count to 93 plus the one on one stage.
See revised stages att'd.
