New to reloading

Ok I loaded up some test rounds and went to the range with my Taurus Pt145. the loads wouldn't eject heres what I loaded

185gr Berrys round nose hollow base 5.0gr titegroup cci 500 primer in blazer brass oal of 1.265 with a crimp of .470 - these wouldn't eject out of the breach

185gr Berrys round nose hollow base 5.3 gr titegroup cci 500 primer in blazer brass oal of 1.265 with a crimp of .470 - these "stovepiped" almost ejecting but getting caught

My buddy loaded the same rounds and they shot fine through his bersa thunder. Berrys recommend using low to mid range FMJ load date at 5.3gr I am at midrange of the 5.0 to 5.5gr load data should I reduce my overall length to try to get these to cycle right

I think I am going to load the two at 1.23 OAL and 1.20 OAL and see if that will help build enough pressure to fully eject the brass any thoughts or comments

I'd like to join in the fun. If someone would post here when the date/time is set or shoot me a PM

Sorry, can't help with the 45 loads - I only load rifle (right now) but have been stockpiling the 40 cal and 10mm brass. Let us know what you figure out.

Your gun could have a stiff spring and/or a heavy slide which could be the source of your issues.

Berry's bullets are concerned about the electro plating being stripped off during firing. I think.

I plan on being at Boggy Head Friday morning if you can swing it. My chrono will be there too. :geek: let me know if you can make it.

Yeah I would love to go, I have never been to Boggy Head I've been wanting to make it up that way. Just let me know what time you are gonna be there. I won't be able to bring my 45 I had to send it back for some light strike issues, but I'll bring something to fire down range.
