New member from Logan County

I've been a lurker at AR-15.com and OKshooters. Retired Army Recon and Dustoff, currently reserve police officer and about to retire from Tinker so I'll have more time to work on my small stash of firearm. I'm fascinated with watching 3 Gun Nation - how do they shoot that fast and accurately and does it have any use in the real world? Amazing marksmanship.

Yes they do shoot that fast and accurate, well... Some of them do...
Some of us that go to the 3 gun match at OKCGC shoot alot slower and alot less accurately.. But we have a great time.
You should come out and shoot a match, it's a lot of fun.

Welcome. Come out this Saturday to the Oklahoma City Gun club and watch participate in the monthly 3 gun match.

I can't speak for any of the 3gun nation pros, but I think they are able to shoot that fast by pulling harder on the trigger than the average person. :gaming:

What part of Logan County? I am in Guthrie and I have a place to shoot.

The shooting you see on 3 Gun Nation does have real world applications. We shoot matches almost every weekend and that's pretty real. If you are asking if shooting really fast at paper and steal targets helps when shooting at bad guys or animals I would say that every guy and gal on the show would say yes. From the Army Marksmanship Unit to the Marine Marksmanship Unit to the SWAT guys and ex Navy Seal. Being a better shooter always helps!

I agree wholeheartedly with Jessee.
Learning to shoot accurately, then fast has an application in the real world.

Just make sure you start with accurate. The rest will follow.

And for a second I thought you guys meant Logan Co. KY. Welcome! And be careful what advice you take. Pulling trigger does not make you shoot faster, it only helps knock down steel targets that don't fall.
