I just moved to Oklahoma from you guessed it stl. Sense I am not from around here I was wondering were to go to shoot idpa near okc. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Welcome to BoomerShooter! There will be somebody along shortly to let you know where the IDPA shoots are at. The first thing I have come to mind is the Heartland Outdoors match that lots of shooters attend. Its not a sanctioned match, per IDPA ruled, but a fun match to attend, and its indoors.

The closets IDPA match to OKC is in weatherford, OK at Tin Star Shooting Range. Several BS members have gone and said it was GTG. Not too much farther of a drive in the opposite direction is IDPA at USSA in Tulsa. Oil Capital in SE Tulsa used to have IDPA but their MD hasn't been posting match announcements so I dunno if it's still going on. Oil Capital also has a defense rifle match which uses IDPA scoring, cover and target engagement rules. They also carry pistols and shoot a few stages with rifle and pistol.
