Welcome to the forum! I think I have an idea of where you work at least. Competitive shooting sports are a blast. I'm not an OSU student but I do work in Stillwater so let me know if you need another practice buddy.

I was a sophomore at OSU when I got into competitive shooting, thanks to Jesse. By the time I graduated all of my roommates had ar-15's and I think I was responsible for 12 M&P40's being bought. Welcome to the sport and can't wait to see your progress.

I am an AGR. Are you guys in a fraternity or active with anything on campus?

I am not no. I was on the Lacrosse Team when we had one but that club went under. I am also 25 and going to school on the post 9/11 gi bill. I work full time and go to school full time so it is hard for me to do anything else on campus but we are excited for this club to get started!

We looked into getting a three gun team and club together at OSU when I was there. There was no love for it with the SGA and we didn't even bother with asking Burns Hargis. They allow archery club, shotgun sporting clay shooting team, ducks unlimited ect. But the sight of "assault" rifles and "human shaped targets" were appalling to them, especially after Virginia Tech happened. I hope you have more success then we did.

I'm gonna guess that pistol Pete didn't use those revolvers for shooting at cows or apples. Those bad boys are the original assault weapons.

Ha Ha yea I agree about pistol pete. Yea we know its not going to be a walk in the park but we are going to call it a competitive shooting club and although we will do three gun we will also do steel challenge and other matches. If you have any words of advice I am all ears. I am going to present it professionally and have support from a lot of directions. Ill keep everyone posted if they are interested. I'm also going to let them know that a Texas University has a team and they are doing well. Thanks again to everyone who is responding.
