New competitor in Stillwater, OK

New to most competitions but have been a shooter for a while!. I have shot a couple steel challenge and one three gun this past weekend. A co-worker and fellow OSU student and myself are looking to get a competitive shooting club started at OSU. Excited for more competitions!

Welcome to the party! OSU shooting team seems to fit perfect with ole pistol Pete. I live over in Guthrie and bleed orange do if you guys ever need any help give me a shout. I'd be happy to help get you up to speed with my limited knowledge.

Thank you all for the welcome, and thanks for the offer Mr. Tischauser. We did our first three gun at USSA this past weekend and loved it. I ran in the TI class and am looking forward to the next one. I believe most of us are making the trip this weekend to Heartland for their competition. Trust me I will take any and all the knowledge I can get because that and practice make you better so thank you for the offer.

Yes I believe I was, I was in the Blue NavSpecWarCen T-shirt and running a sig p228, colt 6940, and benelli SBE1. Jeff Hughes that would be awesome, I would just love to see competitive shooting as a college sport even if it is just a club. So far this is a very nice community.

Always tape targets & reset steel. There were at least 11 guys on your squad & only 3 or 4 were resetting the stages.

That's great, keep it up. Nothing will get the more experienced guys to shut down & not give you pointers faster than not helping reset.
Also, don't be afraid to call someone out for not doing their part as well.

Thanks for the pointers Wall. We look forward to shooting with you Jesse! I'm sure we would be able to make some matches in Ponca City since that is closer than OKC or Tulsa. The only bad part is I work on Saturdays since most Saturdays we do concealed carry classes.

ponca city USPSA is a great match & definately a not-miss if at all possible.
