After years of watching Puget sound 3 gun venues go away, one local club wants us there. The current closest club is 70 miles and only holds a match once a year, otherwise we go over the mountains to eastern WA or south to OR.
As a result, we (I) seldom go, but this opportunity has me excited at the prospects. Currently we are un-organized and this will be a brand new venue, but are working towards that end (organizing). I have a match director from another club on board to help with advice and guidance, but I know it will be an undertaking.
What guidance, resources, etc. can the folks here direct me to? Thanks for your help.

Do what you want. Outlaw matches rule. I really like the way the matches here in OKC are run and scored. Rules are USPSA-ish, but only loosely, and time-plus scoring is fair. Divisions are by gun types, and there aren't any equipment restrictions. Targets are reasonably sized at distance.

Steel targets are expensive, but are the most fun to shoot. Actually, Jesse has some "steel" plates for shotgun made of poly pipe. They are awesome targets, and I assume very cheap. Put them on stake-type stands.

3 Gun Nation Club Series. Its the easiest to use because it is now the most popular in the country. The downside is its still evolving and updates and such aren't super fast or as organized as one might like.
