Muzzle Brake | Open Division

A guy had one of those big JP muzzle brakes on a rifle at the local 3-gun match this weekend. Tony told him that it would put him in Open at a major match, just so he would know.

Is it the length or the diameter, or both that puts you in Open?

Diameter definitely. Maybe length too, I don't know what the length of that one is.

its the diameter for sure no more than 1.5" im pretty sure

I have seen those next to my SJC Titan which was designed so that it bairly fit the non Open legal perameters. It's a lot shorter than my Titan, but 2-3 times wider. I actually think my Titan was more effective anyways. We shot each others rifles after the match.
