So a group of us went up to the MO Fall Classic match this weekend and it was eventful.
Kelly won, no surprise. I had a top-10 finish in Limited, nice surprise (2nd 'B').

They have a man-on-man steel match while they're laying out the prize table. 10 pepper poppers on each side and the 2 in the middle overlap. Kelly, Chad, and Jeff all get eliminated early. But I win 3 match-ups and am feeling pretty darn good (funny thing; I wasnt excited about the shootoff and wasnt gonna shoot!)
They call up 4 other shooters and announce that this is the semi-finals; the 1st 2 will be shooting for 3rd and 4th, and the next 2 will be shooting for 1st...I'm like "hey where am I in all his?" I hadnt been called up even though I had won all my shootoffs. They had made a mistake on the bracket and skipped over me, then fixed it.
I then shoot against an Open Master and I go on to the finals.

Up to this point I've seen my front sight lift off every target and have won with room to spare.
The final match-up is best 2 out 3 and for the 1st time, I'm nervous. I'm still agitated about the scoring mixup, my heart is pounding and my hands are shaking (this does not happen to me in matches)

I choked, never even saw the front sight and I lose the first string. We swap sides for string 2
.
I'm all gathered up now and I crawl into the front sight, the string feels like slow motion and I see the sight lift everytime...on to the 3rd string for all the marbles.
I rushed a couple of early shots, then regrouped and shot thru to the final popper, I hit my (mandatory) reload...as I was prepping my last shot, my opponent hit his final popper.
2nd place sucks.

Anyway, shoot-offs are fun. We had a blast and brought home trophies and cash.
We also went to a wedding at a biker bar, but thats a different story.

We need video!

Shoot offs are awesome! We need a winter shoot off match.
