We will be hosting our first annual MIL/LEO only 3-Gun match on October 11, 2014.

This match is only open to active duty and retired Military and Law Enforcement.

Cost is $25.

Check-In: 8:00-9:00am
Shooters Meeting: 9:00am
First shots: 9:30am

This match will have 2 divisions. Duty and Competition.

Duty: Firearms and gear you use on the job everyday. Firearms must be duty issue type, personal guns are allowed. No race guns.
Competition: Same Rules as Tactical Optics.

We will be running 5 stages. Rifle will be a maximum of 200yds. Each stage will offer a different challenge. You will be moving around walls, through doors, and shooting out of a car just to name a few.

Rough Round Count:
Rifle: 60
Pistol: 60
Shotgun: 50

I recommend bringing 150 of each Rifle and Pistol. 100 rds of Shotgun.

I think you're Concealed carry badge will work too.
Only the sash qualifies - you have to wear it during the match as well . . . .

Just so we KNOW.

Very cool. I'll check my training schedule and see if I can get there. I'm looking for some multi-gun matches to wring out gear issues before the Area 3 match here in November.

This new military standard is killing me. When I first came in, as long as the top button on your BDU jacket was fastened and you had an MRE spoon in your IM-93/pen pocket, you were invincible in combat. Now you're untouchable as long as your PT belt is present.

A couple questions on this; is shotgun strictly field load, or will there be slug or buck targets? Additionally, I always beat my head against a wall trying to get some of my fellow instructors to come shoot, usually without success. I'm the only one really set up for multi gun shooting. Do you forsee issues if I do get one or two others out there and we have to share weapons and belts?

Wait a minute, Tooth and Nail Armory. I think I saw you folks at the last COPS multi-gun match out by Rolla. Are you the folks who used the 1919 shotguns with the mags so long they could almost be used as monopods for a standing shot?

Yes that's was us. We're planning on coming back this fall. Great match !

No problem sharing gear, we have guys do it all the time at our monthly matches.

We haven't settled on the final stage designs, what would you prefer ?

We are working with a local police/swat instructor to design stages more directed toward Mil/LEO skills/needs/gear.

Wow, asking a shooter what kind of stage I'd prefer. Now that's cool. I'll be honest, my days of deploying or doing any two-way live fire ranges are pretty well over, and any competition I do is strictly for the fun of shooting, the camaraderie of being around other shooters of all backgrounds and skill levels, and to satisfy my competitive nature (I'm getting a little old to try and make my big break into mixed martial arts, bull riding, synchronized underwater basket weaving, or pairs meth cooking). As the great statesman Kalani Laker once said, "If there's a score beside my name, it's a game." My preference would be to see a match that combines stages that have a mix of challenging shots, whether they be longer range, smaller or obscured targets, or setups that require odd shooting positions, and stages that allow us to haul ass and really let loose with our trigger fingers. I will appreciate any kind of set up, myself. My hope is to do decently well at the Area 3 match in November and then to do well at the All-Army Small Arms Championships at Ft Benning in February. I look forward to shooting at this match no matter the setup.

Our matches have everything you described. We want our matches to be as good as possible. Always listening to comments or suggestions. We are shooters too and set up matches that we would enjoy shooting.
