I unawares stepped onto a "racial slur" landmine recently, by using a slang term I've heard all my life referring to the N.V.A. in the Vietnam action. I meant no offense by any stretch of the imagination, I subscribe to Dr. MLK Jr's theory of "Content of their character not the color of their skin". Please forgive my ignorance on this issue, I further understand that the mods here have a job to do and am not complaining at or to them. I was not directed to issues this apology but, I just think it is the right thing to do.

I do appreciate the warning so as to not reoffend in the future. I do think that it is a crying shame we, as a society, believe that we have a right to not be offended by others, (show me where it says that in the constitution).

Anyway I felt the need to apologize and rant some.

We as free speaking people do have the right to say things that may offend others. We as members of this forum have the responsibility to abide by the rules set forth by the Admin. Failure to do so gives them the right to do as they see fit to our post, or our membership.

I think it's obvious to anyone who read the original post (and I did) that you didn't mean anything by it. The Firearms community as a whole must be careful to present ourselves in the proper light though. We get plenty of bad press as it is. Thanks for the apology, and please, don't be afraid to jump in and speak your mind, just remember the rules.

Good on you for not getting mad and just rage quitting the forum.
