If your the last person to shoot a stage, move to another bay, and the first to shoot. Remember to load your empty mags.
That is all

Indeed.....

It is the simple stuff that hurts the most.

I believe Phil Strader lost a national championship because of that. Not that, exactly, but it was because of a mag that didn't get topped off.

just a mistake that sux.

on a great run, cleared the Texas star with one miss, and ran out of ammo for the stage......
Oh well, I'm just a wannabe anyway.

I can top this..... I was giving a guy hell because he left his holster at home. That's bad enough. Then I looked into my shooting back and realized I had left my pistol at home. Yep, that's me.

I did have a backup in the car, tho.

Well, never feel so rushed that you don't have time to inspect your gear. Also make sure your mags have ONE witness hole at the bottom that showes you are full. If they don't have that, get er done! Have someone drill a hole for you!

As for forgetting stuff like Troy, all I can say is that for the first day of the 1996 S.O.F. World Championship 3-Gun, I got to shoot the stages with 3 wraps of cotton cord holding on all my mag pouches shotshell holders and holster.....no belt! Now I will be the first to point out I have NEVER forgot a gun...but it has been usefull at times that I have friensd that use the same mags I do :P

Lame exuse, but in my defense.....I use alot of guns. SWAT pistol (Production Glock), daily carry pistol (SS), and comp pistol (L10-Limited). The problem is I use each one in a different division. So on that particular day I grabbed my L10 pistol and put it into my Production bag.

All of my mags are wilson combat, so they have the witness hole.
And I forgot another boo boo.
Went to a steel challange match, and left all but two mags at home.....fortunatly, there were some good folks there that loaned me a couple of extra.
