Low-profile gas blocks

Cool. I used to live in Apopka, FL where they are made.

I'm not familiar with what color 'mil spec phosphate coating' is (my lack of experience). In the picture they look grey. is that correct?

i got that type first. the next time i wanted a low profile i got the $35 one just like that with screws that clamp it instead of set screws into the barrel.

is there a difference? i dont know. except price and i kind of like the one that clamps better.

one is on my SBR and the other on my 762x39 upper, neither have been worked hard and both working well.

just dont get any kind of aluminum gas block, they cant take the heat.

I prefer clamp-on blocks but with the great price I figured I'd give them a try. I read somewhere set crews I can't see such a small screw changing the shape of a good 1/4" of steel.

I mounted the first one on the 5.56 and it fit real nice. Next week when I start my leave I might hit the range to see how my changes do launching bullets.
