Long Slide Barrel Question

Is the Series 70 6" long slide barrel exactly the same as the Series 70 regular 5" barrel except for the extra inch of length? If so, could the longer barrel be threaded and swapped out in place of the 5" barrel?

Dont see why not but I would measure the diameter of the 6" barrel where it sits in the muzzle bushing, may have to change the bushing.

Oh hell, I forgot all about that! The bulge at the end of the 6" barrel would be where the threads would be cut.
