Sold/Expired Loki lowers group buy

I think he means to wait to order after the group buy is done as to not make Loki too busy so they can fill it fast. Maybe?
 
Nah, I didn't want to announce it premature since it's not in stone yet and I didn't want to derail this thread about another topic and probably shouldn't have posted my last cryptic message. Anyways, I spoke with Erik over at Loki and he's interested in giving another try with a completed uppers group buy and we discussed doing it cross forums and not exclusive to just one forum. Since the last one didn't happen and the best deal he can give right now on single orders to boomer shooter members is free shipping (unless you're special and can get a better offer, but for us regular folk, that's the best we can get.)

He doesn't want to do it until after this group buy is over and done with and delivered. Once the dust has settled, I'm going to organize a group buy for the loki completed uppers, unless someone else wants to do it instead of me. It would be a group buy that would be open to the "other" forum, as well.
 
Yeah it seems like everytime someone tries to be nice over there and extend a good deal, they get elephant dung on.
I got called a douchebag for telling a member about this Loki group buy.

yep, & that thread was for a group buy for only like 4 complete Loki uppers & I'm not sure they made it. People asked about upper receivers & Matt told them they could get some on this group buy & a couple people that had absolutely nothing to do with the group buy or buying in it, jumped all over him.

Anyway, I wouldn't wait. Unfortunately, the chances of getting 30 complete uppers ordered are pretty slim.
 
That's very unfortunate. I was going to try and post the group buy on both forums so they wouldn't have to sign here or vise versa. I would tally the total separately and let both forums know when the total was reached. I also know people who aren't members of either forum and also have connections to deputies in Logan county and OK county who may be interested. I was thinking that if I could muster atleast 10 on my own, then both forums could make up the other 20.

Anyways, didn't mean to derail Matt's thread. Just ignore. Nothing to see here, move along.

Well, I know I am not part of your inner circle, but I for one would like to thank you for letting me know about this group buy. I need a lower for my UBR and MIAD. I will eventualy need an upper to go with my AFG2. Maybe I should have got an upper too. In retrospect it my have been a good idea. I guess I will look for a complete upper with a micro gas block in the future so I can put whatever hand guard I finally decide I want. (Must wait.) :-[

As for the douchebag comment you got, only a douchebag would call you a douchebag for sharing an opportunity to get a decent deal.

BTW, you should be getting my check in the mail Monday or so, it was sent Friday.

This sounds like a great idea but somebody other than the banned and damned like me will have to track it both places. To be quite honest it is much easier for potential buyers to visit the same thread instead if someone keeping up with a group buy in two places.
 
Hey Everyone :93: . I was trying to get into the Palmetto arms buy on that other OK forum, but missed it. Some nice guy pm'd me about the Loki buy here, so here I am :). I'm down for one, I'll send payment this afternoon. Everyone seems cool, think i'll stick around :)

I'm pretty happy with how its turned out so far. I was afraid there wouldn't be much interest because of the palmetto buy, but boy was I wrong.

By all means do it. I'd love to see Loki get some massive sales.
I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm just letting you know that the effort has already been made.
The complete upper group buy I was reffering to was on the other site, so no having to sign up here.
It was organized by an established member & with a requirement of only 4 total units.
Like I said, I'm not 100% positive but I don't think they were even able to make it to 4.
