Locals Push City, County Leaders To Ban Assault Weapons

Sounds like those locals want to light their tax dollars on fire to fight the lawsuit that their city will inevitably lose. Preemption clearly covers this.

Then again they probably don't pay taxes so they don't give a elephant dung.

This town went the other direction; recommending that every household have a firearm and then paying to have teachers get a CCW and training on using a firearm.

The council also approved funding to offer concealed firearms training Friday to the 20 teachers and administrators at the local elementary school.

"It sends a statement that criminals better think twice," Sorensen told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "If a teacher would have had a concealed weapon in Sandy Hook, I think the death loss would have been fewer. If sane, trained people had guns, they could have shot back."
