Labor Day Steel Match Results 9-2-13 @ Oil Capital

Cool match! Better than regular steel challenge in my opinion! The new guy that came with me loved it and is addicted now! Man Tony we were .01 seconds difference on "coming at you" the second to last stage. That was some fast shooting!

Good match today. Hopefully you can do more like it out there....

good job buddy, That was fun.
You went somewhere else but just for shits & grins Me Micah & Jeff timed a run at just the 3 rectangle targets drawing from surrender. I went something like 1.7 with Micah right behind me & Jeff in at something like 1.9.

That weak hand stage killed me.
Great shooting with you guys. We had a great squad for sure.

I wish I was there for that. I had to run to the restroom haha. It was a great squad and a lot of fun, see you at the next match! Great shooting!

It was a blast! Always worth the sunburn!! Thanks for the holiday fun, Renato!

I ran in the squad with you all and I must say I feel like I learned quite a bit just watching you guys run the stages first. I was joking with my buddy who was also out there with us that every time we go out there it seems we get squaded with the top guys in the competition but I enjoy it because I learn much more than shooting with others at or near my current shooting ability. I was the one whose brother couldn't hit the broadside of a barn from the inside of a barn. I appreciate everyone trying to help him "get it" but I guess it just wasn't coming together for him under the stress of being in the match. He is "IDPA hits target accurate" when we are shooting paper with all the time in the world so I figured this might be something fun for him. You all saw how that went.

Getting that out of the way I had tons of fun at the match and shooting weak handed with the transition at that stage was really fun. It was cool to shoot some differently laid out stages than the typical SC stages. Going from the 1911 to the M&P in the last two stages even in the compact has me looking to get out of the 1911 platform and into the M&P Pro. It felt more natural to me and I feel like I shot it better, even with the handicaps the compact presented.

I've got a buddy with a full M&P Pro setup for sale. Apex internals, grip stippled, 5 mags, holster and mag pouches for 800 which is about 50 below what they sell for on Enos forum...

glad you made it out, look for us anytime. I don't get up that way much, but a few of the others do.
If you ever make it to OKC for a match I'm sure you'll find us.

I hope your Bro doesn't get discouraged. I knew it wasn't going to go well with 4-5 people all "helping" at once.
I know he can get it if he has someone work with him a little ONE on one.
