Christ is Risen! If you're Jewish, Islamist or atheist, please disregard.

This week on National Peoples Radio (which I love and sponsor), a reporter went through a litany of the items gunman Lanza (Newtown School killer) had in his safe.

The items were so similar to what I have (save the sword) that it struck me as odd. Apparently having 10 firearms, a bayonet, knives and 1,000 rounds of ammo is meant to shock the public. It was as if the message between the lines on having that amount of fire arms and ammo was a precursor to going on a crazed shooting.

If the media only knew what most of us own they would have a field day.

I watched a very interesting National Geographic documentary on Net Flix last week; Science of Evil. Very early in the program the point was made that in extreme cases of violent crime (such as Lanza's) what is seen is the end result. What is not revealed or known are the histories and circumsances that lead up to the crime. People with no history or abuse of mental illness just don't wake up one morning and decide out of the blue to go and commit violent acts.

Got to go!!! I thought I just saw the Easter bunny dash between the trees out back!! If I can bag him, we'll have rabbit for dinner and a butt load of chocolate!!

Tally ho!

I would like that but I get told this "You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day" so there ya go
Guess Ill have to be glass half empty from now on so Ill say 1000 rounds? what are you going to do for the rest of the morning?

The only reason I have a bayonet in my safe is my father gave it to me. He was a c-47 pilot in WW-II and his C.O. decided he needed to become a glider pilot. I'm sure my Dad had made some good points with him and he ended up flying a glider he had never flown. This was the last glider mission in WW-II and they were short of glider pilots for good reason. Upon landing or basically crashing he could not find his rifle. He was not infantry or trained to be so like the rest of the airborne, so he picked up a German rifle. After he fired the rifle a few times he realized the Airborne recognized the sound as from a German rifle and keyed in on him. Needless to say he ditched the German rifle but kept the bayonet. "Battle of burp gun corner" Wesel Germany.
