For me long range starts at 300 yds. with a .308. My LGS owner laughs at me. His idea starts at 1,000 yds.
I understand, but in a situation in battle, your shots most likely won't be 300 yards. A 22LR can be very effective inside 100 yds. The biggest concern for me would be the occasional dud.

I met Randy Weaver at a gun show after this elephant dung went down. He was a cool guy . and I bought his book, The federal siege at Ruby Ridge. He autographed it for me. It took weeks to read because it made me so angry! I threw the book across my living room and it layed there for 3 weeks before I could pick it up and finish it. Our government is so corrupt. The same snipers that killed his family were at Waco too. Also there were Delta people "helping" out at Waco. Why was Delta force there? That's a whole 'nother can of crapworms to check out.
