Our furry kids all came from local shelters, and a good friend volunteers at our local shelter. The folks who run these shelters truly care about the animals, and could always use help $wise or otherwise. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer broken in animals that deserve a second chance. For the record I was adopted too so maybe that has a bearing too?
