Does anyone out there have any load data for 38 spec. using Intenational Clays? I'm thinking of trying it. I've seen some data for 45ACP, but nothing for 38spec.
I didn't see any load data for International, but there was some for Clays, and Universal. I also looked at the burn rates between the three and International is in between the other two. SO, I was thinking of starting with those base minimums and try to work something up. Any one have any thoughts?
Hi 44,
I did some further research and found that International Clays is not recommended for pistol at all. It is only for shotgun. Apparently, pressure can spike quickly and unpredictably in metallic cartridge reloading according to Hodgdon. Check your answering machine.
Since there is no data for handgun ammo, because it is not safe to use in handgun rounds. I've given up on this powder, and found a different one. I aquired some 800X, and am pleased to say I've spent my first batch of 44Spl today. Loaded em on Sat. Shot em on Sun.

Tigerstripe was right, but dirty ain't the word for it. OMG what job cleaning my pistol. I shot some 200gr. 44spl I got from Georgia Arms and my second batch of 240gr. My stainless steel Taurus M44 turned black, however, the 4.5in Ruger Super Blackhawk (stainless) was not too bad. I'm moving on to 45Colt and 44-40 Win as well.
