after a really good practice session Friday morning decided to take the shotgun apart and try and fix a very minor problem with the shell catch. Of course this is before a match on Saturday and I won't have a chance to fire the gun before the match now.
So I'm on the start board, buzzer goes off, gun goes bang and I now am running a single shot versa-max. I DNF the stage and find that I failed to correctly locate the shell catch springs during re-assembly.
So you probably know this already but do not take your gun apart the night before a match and expect it to work without testing it. I could have found my error if I'd cycled a couple of dummy rounds through it.
