Is there a way to get into Nationals other than being a good shooter?
I'm trying to figure a way to the Multi Gun Nationals October 20th-23rd in Vegas.
But seems there is a waiting list.
I would wear the jersey and understand I have to be in competition for the special drawing here.
So back to my question, does anyone know if the waiting list is for competitor's only?

There are several ways to get into pistol Nationals that I am aware of. If you win your class or division at any of the area matches and you get an invite. Section Coordinators and Area directors get a slot. Dpi does are given slots for donating $ & prizes. You get on the waiting list as soon as I comes out.

I have never heard of a waiting list for USPSA Multiple Gun Natuonals except for last year when the 3 Gun Nation point series shootoff followed the match. I'll double Chelsea to see if it's full right now. I might need to hit Nationals this year as well.

I dont think Multigun Nationals is full yet.
Just fill out the application and send it in. (deadline is Aug 1st)

Thanks for the application on Nationals.
Before I saw your note I found a 3gun schedule on;
m4carbine.net
The truth is I started looking for matches, pistol or 3gun, in cooler climates, which pushed me later in the year and I see the whole year is a tune up for big matches at the end of the year.
I did a lot of reading on the FNH USA Championship in November on Enos. Looks good.
Curious, does anyone have suggestions if you were going to go to one, which one would you choose.

At this point the only ones that aren't full are the 3 in October, the tactical shotgun match, and the inland empire match.

Major 3 gun Matches are hugely popular. Most of those matches fill up within minutes of being open for registration. You gotta be watching the match Announcements thread on Enos all year to know when their registration occurs.

The others aren't full yet because either their registration hasnt opened up yet or their too far from everywhere like the idaho and washigton matches. The shotgun match wont likely fill up because most 3 gun guys wint travel too far for a one gun match and/or dont like loading their shotguns. You should definitely attend the Arkansas/Area 4 match because it's close to home and it's cheap. National in Vegas isn't hugely popular for a couple reasons but it's reputation is growing. Holler at me if you have any more questions.

The AR15.com match is supposed to be awesome. You should hit them up about getting on the waiting list.

Tried to check out the AR15.com match.
Are you talking about the 50cal match?
If not do you have a link?
Thanks

Here you go.

It's probably to late to get a high spot on the waiting list even though it's two matches in one with 500 competitors but it always worth a try.

roflcopter doods from arfcom shooting in a match? that should be intredasting. should be good for the lulz

no but for reals, i wish i had the money to go shoot that.

They arfcom crowd will be in for a treat if the signed up for amateur. The am group shoots a day or two before the pro group so that each group can watch the other group. I expect to see some jaw dropping when the top pros shred a stage without a vertical for-grip, flashlight, and iron sights.
