Homeland Security and its cache of bullets

Although I'm one of the first to believe in government conspiracies against we, the people, this information is not quite so sinister. Considering that the amount of rounds quoted is over a five year period and divide that by the number of agents they are supplying, the number of rounds fired for mandatory basic training and subsequent qualifications, plus the number of rounds they carry on their person in the normal course of duty, per person it sounds much less ominous. Nonetheless, the gubmint will have their ammo and the rest of us can't find any to buy at any reasonable price.

I didn't have my tin foil hat on when I posted the article (it was on my desk :D ). I'm just amazed to see those kind of numbers. I know it breaks down to something probably reasonable when you calculate the number of employees X number of training sessions X number of training rounds.

I'm just jealous my job doesn't purchase ammo for me to train and then pays me to do it!

Cheers to a nice weeknd...
