Howdy All,

I just made my first post here a short while ago and I am glad to have found this website as I'm just getting into 3-Gun. I'm currently a very active subgun competitor here in Florida and I do my best to get out to one or two other states throughout the year to compete in other events. I run bullethose.com and miniuzi.com and a few other websites for full auto competitors. I just like to shoot and I love the feel of competition.

I just got into 3-gun here in South Florida and I am in the process of buying my very first AR (Stag 3G), up until now I've been faithful to my AK-47 . I was introduced to 3-gun by some folks at my local steel match although we only have one venue down here to shoot and the distances we can shoot at are fairly short (50-100 yrds) I'm having a great time. The next best thing is a good 3-5 hours North so it is what it is for now.

I've got a lot to learn and it seems there are some pretty awesome folks to learn from here so I figure I'll be lurking until the time arises where I can contribute. I'm a blank slate right now and I'm trying to get the right gear down. I own absolutely nothing for my gun at all except some magazines I bought the other day (5 pmags and 8 brownell Mags).

So... any suggestions you all have on everything from mag carriers to cleaning accessories... lay it on me. I'm all ears. I'd like to get off on the right foot and avoid as many pitfalls as possible. Thanks for the cool site.

Man you should talk to Paul at Stag Arms. He shoots some sub gun matches too. Also you might want to email our sponsor Cold Hand Arms. He had asked me about doing a machine gun style match which I think would be awesome but I'm too poor for a full auto.

If you want to see a list of all the crap I use or keep just in case I might use it someday click the link below.

Thanks for the awesome welcome guys. I appreciate the list of all your gear Jesse, I'll check it out. As far as subgunning goes send anybody my way who wants to talk about it. I eat , sleep and breathe it. I won the "Top Gun" trophy at the nationals last year for fastest overall time and we'll see if I can repeat it again this year in October. Once could be a fluke, twice is undeniable. Quite a few 3-gun folks get their trigger time at Knob Creek twice a year and I see the sports having a bit of cross-over. I appreciate the warm welcome. Glad to be here.

Anyway.. here's me in action.. it wasn't all that pretty but it was good enough for the day.

Glad you guys enjoyed the video. The coordinator and prop master of that event is a guy named Paul Winters. He's a great guy, awsome shooter and he can do amazing things with wood and a little paint. That match was based off of the Star Trek episode called the Kobiashi Maru which loosely translates into "the impossible mission". Those targets that popped up and dissapeared on the first shooting position required two shots on the paper to be neutralized. Nobody shot it clean. The year prior to that he built a 1/3 scale Huey helicopter out of plywood. ... talk about awesome.
