I'm up for renewal for USPSA. Last time I took the option without the front sight magazine. How often does front sight come out and is it worth it?

It's not worth it.

All the real info is on the forums a month sooner.

It's every other month and I love the reading, I think it's worth it. Good rules discussions, what's happening with USPSA, list of events upcoming, new products on the market. Yeah, it's not perfect but I feel like it's worth it to me...

Front sight was much better several years ago when I first joined USPSA. The magazine contained good articles about matches and pro tips, as well as equipment reviews and handloading tips. Now it is full of articles about junior programs and European matches that I will never attend. I don't have kids so reading about the junior stuff doesn't hold my interest as much as it would to a shooter with young kids that want to get them involved. The article about last years DTC was mostly about the battle between Athena and Carina for limited High Lady shooter. They didn't even address who actually won the match. The magazine is also leaning heavily towards the coverage of female shooters lately. I usually end up blowing by these articles and just read 2 or 3 in the magazine and toss it in the recycle bin.

You can submit articles about matches and get paid $100-150 if they use it.

First person to get a BoomerShooter jersey or boomer logo in plain view in Front Sighr wins a big prize TBD.

Makes for a decent read on a slow day at work. Better than Cosmo...unless you're into that sorta thing.

There's new format now, which is far and away better than the old format, but the last issue didn't have a list of new Masters and Grandmasters. That's pretty ****ing lame.

I too like seeing the list of newbs on top of the classifications. Heck having my name in front sight was the only reason I wanted to make GM.
