I went to the funeral of a long time friend last week.
He got cancer of the mouth from dipping so long about 5 years ago. The Doctors cut away a large part of the left side of his face. He wasn't too pretty, but figured he was cured, so he switched the chew to the right side.
Throat cancer took over and he spent the last 4 months of his life shitting his pants, and being fed from a tube inserted into his belly.

Nicotine is a powerful drug.

You're absolutely right it is. A couple of my buddies have quit as well so the temptation isn't really there at all anymore.
