Factory to Practical and Red dot to 1-4

So I am thinking of moving from Factory (TI) to Practical (TO) as I see there is more competition there and also what is shot in the Pro Series qualifier.

I currently run a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot which does the job pretty well.

If I do this, I will be putting a Vortex PST 1-4x24 onto my AR.

What are the benefits of doing this? Also, when do people use the 4x magnification?

Any benefit of staying in Factory?

I don't shoot in the 3GN series and I was thinking about going from TO to TI with a EoTech.

My club matches don't have anything longer than 100yds so I thought the EoTech might be better suited for up close/fast stages

for tight shots, long shots. the more rifle steel and head shots past 50yards, the faster a good 1-x scope can outshoot a red dot or irons

So I put the Vortex PST 1-4 on my rifle and sighted it in.

Will be running in the Practical division this year, just need to get used to the 1st presentation of the scope.
