Elcan Specter DR 1-4X for 5.56 Rifles

I was contemplating of getting this RDS- http://www.mountsplus.com/AR-15_Accessories/AR-15_Scope_Rings/ATI-ELCAN-DFOV14-C1.html, Though It's a bit on a high end at $2000 a piece, I was thinking if this would really be a good and reasonable fit for my AR-15 rifle. Kindly share your experience if you have any.

I was able to run a 240B with the 7.62 Elcan when I was in The Guard. They are definitely a sweet optic. Personally I would rather take the $2000+ and pick up a high end 1-6 or 1-8 variable optic though.
