Here is my set up for practice. I have a 1" dot and 1/4" dot on a sheet of paper 20 feet away. I can call hits on the 1" at 1X all day, offhand. The small dot, supported (as typical in a match), my sight picture is crap at 4X. Not that it matters for what I'm doing, but I'm using an MTAC. I just cannot get the reticle to settle. Right now my plan is just keep going, until I get better. My original idea was to introduce a stress, like 30 seconds of jumping jacks, then get on target. I thought my issue was being winded, even though I get at least an hour of aerobic exercise 3 or 4 days a week. Now I'm thinking it's practice. I'm throwing this out there in case someone has a better idea, or tell me if I'm just way of base with what I'm doing.
