Long weekend, and 2 Steel Challenge matches!
(Our new fee hike of $5/person will apply to both.)

We will be having the first match at a Oil Capital on Sun 5-24-15.
The second one will be at USSA the day after on Monday Memorial Day 5-25-15.

USSA is one of the top shooting facilities in the nation.
Oil Capital is a very nice private club (unfortunately, with closed membership and a long waiting list.)

Sign-in at 9:30am and start shooting at 10:00am.
Expect a round count of 150 minimum (if you don't miss; bring at least 200.)
We will be shooting six Steel Challenge Stages.

One on One Stages? Up to you; let me know.

We will have all the normal divisions: Rimfire pistol optic/iron, Centerfire pistol open/iron, and Rimfire rifle iron/optic. Also, feel free to bring your 9, 40, or 45 carbine (no necked ammo.)

Members $15.00, non-members $20.00, and second gun $5.00.

Remember 6 Steel Challenge Stages are always set up at USSA and no set up or tear down is needed.
At Oil Capital, stages will be set, but if you are in good shape, we will greatly appreciate any help tearing down after the match (please don't put targets on the ground; we take them apart as we load them on to the trailer- much easier than picking them off the ground.)

Remember we have plaques for 1st place winners at the OC match.

Well, the weather for Sunday sure is not looking good. The forecast is currently showing the chance of rain at a 100%.
Monday calls for 40% but it has improved from 70% earlier this week.
So keep an eye our for my posts to see what the plan is.
We needed the rain, but geez...

Actually, 20% now for Monday.
Keep thinking happy thoughts.
Maybe we can at least get at least 1 of the 2.

Weather for Monday is still looking good at 20%.
Sunday is not looking good.
Keep an eye on my posting tomorrow.
So it looks like we will have 1 of our 2 matches.

Well crap!

I am canceling our match for tomorrow Sunday 5/23/15 at Oil Capital. Our next match at Oil Capital is ProAm a week from tomorrow on Sunday June 31 (I hope.)

The match on Monday Memorial day...uhm... the rain chances have gone from 100 down to 20 and now back up to 80%. Let's see what the weather looks like tomorrow afternoon, so keep an eye out for a posting from me tomorrow.

Don't worry, it'll be bone dry in a couple months...but it'll also be 100 degrees.

I'm here at the range.
We are good to go.
The ground is a bit wet (about the same as last weekend,) but very playable.
Come on over.
