Does a Double Eagle .45 ACP get me points on a 1911 forum?

New member here. My carry weapon of choice is a somewhat limited issue of a mostly 1911-based pistol. I have a 1991 Colt (of course) Double Eagle Officers Lightweight ACP. My other Colts are a 1934 Official Police .38 and a 1952 Woodsman .22. Both appear unfired.

My demographics include age 83, NYC escapee since 1963, peacetime Marine 1958-'61, Motorcycle rider at least weekly since 1953. Even brought a bike with me to Okinawa when I was assigned to 3d Amtracks on Buckner Bay.

I have 5 pre-1964 Winchesters: Mdls. 24, 52, 63, 71, and 1890. Love them dearly. Plus some others of less provenance. Patron Life Member NRA, Gun Owners of America. Active volunteer at Austin, TX VA outpatient clinic. Joined the tea party as soon as it was founded in 2009 and remain far enough to the Right that you could not see me with powerful binoculars even if standing on Rush Limbaugh's shoulders. I regard the 2d Amendment as our salvation in these perilous times, tho that Amendment likely will be under increasing attack, depending on events this coming November.

I like and appreciate the helpful advice generated on this forum

Welcome to the forum. You don't even have to have a 1911 to be welcome. All you
have to do is like them.
