Deer hunters! Let us know if you do.

Sandy, what do you want to go hunt? I don't get out near like I used to but you would be more than welcome to tag along. Later,

I haven't hunted since I moved to OKC from Okfuskee County 11 years ago. Nor have I fished. Use to fish 2-3 times a week. You guys are making me itch for it.

Join the club Troy! I used to be able to drive up to anyones house and get permission to hunt or fish, moved up here and fat chance in hell of folks letting you hunt or fish! I do have a couple of ponds in my addition that I need to try out and I can always go back home and hunt my uncles place. Folks seem a little nicer in small towns when they know who you are and your family. Later,

Got out this morning, and saw very few deer. The bucks are starting the rut, but the does are not ready, so the does get tired of the pestering, and go into hiding. About 9am, this coyote came into my food plot, working the edge. At 85yds quartering away the 250 grain Hornady SST out of the Savage smokeless MZ whacked him. Instant kill.

It wasn't 10 minutes later this little buck came wandering by. He has about 3 years to grow before he gets my attention.

Shot my first deer last weekend. It was very fun! Got him from about ~175 yards. 150 lb 6-point (in Texas they count them all lol). Not a great one, but I'm pleased :D
