CZ 75 Phantom safety issue

I was asked recently about the CZ 75 Phantom and it's lack of a safety.

When abandoning a Phantom during a 3 gun stage, what's the legal safe condition? the pistol has a manual decocker but no external safety. Does lowering the Hammer via the decocker satisfy the safe requirement?

I told the guy he was better off, dumping the mag and racking racking out the round.

Logic tells me that leaving the pistol in the required starting condition is satisfactory. What's legal in the holster is okay in a dump barrel so to speak. That being said, nothing wrong with emptying the thing out before you abandon it.

He may want to run it by the match officials before the match gets underway though.
