I have a few branded checkmate mags, and likely some checkmates branded mags made for pistol manufacturer. They have always worked well for me, but are often difficult to locate in stock it seems. Mine are all in 45 auto caliber for the m1911a1
My CM military mags for 1911 all work great.
The Civilian CM mags for my 1911 & M1A are the best.

The brown wrapper 1911 Military surplus mags are CM if you can find them.
